Julia Kovaliv has almost ten year experience of executive positions in the energy sector and public administration. Before the creation of NIC Office she served as the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade and was responsible for reforming state enterprises and for investment policy. She was also a member of the state regulator of the National Commission, which perform state regulation in the energy and utilities. From April 2016 to April 2017 Julia Kovaliv also held the position of Chairman of the Supervisory Board in “Naftogaz Ukraine".

In her early career Julia worked for Ernst & Young, LLC "Financial Consulting Company". For the next three years she held the position of financial director of LLC "Gazex Ukraine." From 2011 to 2013 she worked in the Coordination Center for economic reforms.
