Academic degrees: Ed.D, Candidate of Economic sciences. 

In 1996 graduated with honors from Turar Ryskulov Kazakh State Economic University majoring in International Economy. The same year had started post-graduate program pursuing the degree of candidate of economic sciences and finished in 1998. Between 1996 and 1997 worked as a referent of the Chairman of the Central Asia Intergovernmental Councils Executive Committee. Successfully has completed special program in Vienna Diplomatic Academy in 1997. After that was admitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the position of Attaché for Economic Affairs in the Department of America in Almaty. Later worked in the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the USA (Washington, DC) from 1998 to 2002. 

Upon arrival to Kazakhstan in 2002 was invited to the Central Asia regional office of the World Bank. In 2007 worked as Deputy Chairman of the Executive board and Director of “National Analytical Center” JSC founded by the Government and National Bank of Kazakhstan.  

Starting from 2009 was appointed as the President of “New University of Astana” and later in 2010 as the Chairman of the Executive Council of the Autonomous education organization “Nazarbayev University”. After completing doctorate program at University of Pennsylvania and graduating with the degree of Doctor of Education started and is continuing working as Associate professor at the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Education.

In September 2, 2003 by the Decree of the President Aslan Sarinzhipov was appointed as Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He served as Minister until February 2016.
