Mr. Casey brings over 20 years of experience in providing vision and tactical planning in startup companies and entrepreneurial divisions of multi-billion dollar public corporations. His responsibilities have included running all facets of American, Asian, and European companies including operations, sales, marketing, finance, engineering, and technology development.

He has been active in industry in the former Soviet Union since 1994.

Mr. Casey earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

In his most recent role as founder and CEO of a wind energy company in Ukraine, Mr. Casey championed the country’s potential for energy independence. In addition, Mr. Casey promoted Ukraine’s attractiveness as an investment destination, highlighting Ukraine’s debt and equity markets, privatisation plan for state industrial assets, and numerous world-class industries, including energy, ICT, transportation, metallurgy, machine building, automotive manufacturing, aircraft manufacturing, shipbuilding, agriculture, chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, retail, and hospitality and tourism. Finally, Mr. Casey has been a sought-after media contributor on such subjects as WTO accession and economic modernisation in the post-Soviet space.

In his new role, Mr. Casey will be responsible for all aspects of the operations of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine which has grown to become the leading voice of the internationally oriented business community in Ukraine, providing excellence to Chamber Members and external stakeholders, as well as being an influential and sought-after interlocutor to Ukrainian authorities, diplomatic and donor communities on business, investment, and economic issues. Mr. Casey will be responsible to lead the team that will continue the tradition of being a reliable partner for Chamber member companies and key external stakeholders advocating for the adoption of legislation and regulations in line with international best practices adapted to Ukrainian reality.
