Lluis Prats is a Member of the Barcelona Bar Association and MBA (Trinity College Dublin). He worked in the Spanish National and Local Administrations and joined the European Commission in 1995, where for the past 20 years he has had several responsibilities in the Directorate-General for External Relations and in the DG for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, where he is currently the Head of Unit for International Affairs, covering Neighbourhood Policy, Enlargement, Trade Agreements, Regulatory Cooperation and Business Internationalisation issues.
