Mr. Adão da Fonseca has set up several Investment companies focused in the Natural Resources area with a specific focus in Renewable Energy in EMEA and Sustainable Native Forest Management in Brazil. He is a Managing Partner of Exus Management Partners focused on Renewable Energy and of Agrocortex Investment Partners focused on Forestry. He is also acting as a Special Advisor to the Board of Renovatio Group, a Renewable Energy Company with presence in Eastern Europe.

He was previously a member of the Board of Directors and part of the Management Team of EDP Renewables and was a non-executive board member of EDP Inovação. He has been a consultant at McKinsey & Company and also held the position of assistant lecturer in the Economics and Business Sciences School and in the Human Sciences School of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. 

Mr. Adão da Fonseca is a Senior Expert Advisor for McKinsey & Company in the Renewable Energy space since 2014. 

Mr. Adão da Fonseca holds a master’s degree in economics from the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, a master of business administration degree from INSEAD, as well as a post-graduate degree in leading change and organizational renewal from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. In 2011 Mr. Adao da Fonseca also received a Master Degree for Risk Management from the Stern School of Management – NYU.
