Since January 2023, Oleksii Kuleba has worked as Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, where he was in charge of regional policy.
Prior to his appointment to the Presidential Office, Oleksii Kuleba held various positions in local government. In particular, he headed the Department of Urban Development of the Kyiv City State Administration, later became the First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, and in February 2022 was appointed to the position of Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration.
In addition, the newly appointed Deputy Prime Minister has extensive experience in commercial enterprises and teaching in higher education.
In 2022, Oleksii Kuleba was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, III class.
