Olha Stefanishyna has more than 15 years of professional experience in international and European law. She worked in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and held the position of the Head of the Commission for Coordination of
Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic Integration is also engaged in private legal practice. Olha has a master's degree in international law and a diploma in economics; she studied at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and the Estonian School of Diplomacy.
In the government, Olha Stefanishyna is responsible for Ukraine’s integration into the EU and NATO, ensures the formation and implementation of legal policy, and determines the priorities of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine. She is an active member of the
National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Olha Stefanishyna also heads the Governmental Commission for Coordination of Interaction of Executive Authorities on Ensuring Equal Rights and Opportunities for Women and Men.
After her appointment, she updated the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine.
Since Ukraine's application for EU membership on February 28, 2022, Olha Stefanishyna has been in charge of coordinating the process of Ukraine's accession to the EU.
Olha Stefanishyna is also the Head of the Commission for Coordination of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic Integration.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Olha Stefanishyna initiated a deepening of cooperation with the UN to provide comprehensive assistance for people affected by war-related violence.
In December 2023, she was awarded the Order of Merit III degree for her significant personal contribution to the development of interstate cooperation, fruitful diplomatic activity and high professionalism.
In 2023, she also received the Aspen Institute Kyiv Award for developing a culture of dialogue.
