Mr. Mateo began his professional career in 1982, working for Endesa where he became CEO Endesa Chile and Managing Director, Generation, at Endesa Latin America.

He joined ACCIONA in 2010 and has played a key role in the growth and positioning of the Energy business of ACCIONA.

In addition, Mr. Mateo is a Board member of ACCIONA Energy International, the company which holds the operating international renewable assets of the Group.

Mr. Mateo holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Industriales in Zaragoza.
