Sergio Cantone is the bureau chief for euronews in Eastern Europe. Based in Kyiv, Sergio has been covering the Ukrainian crisis since the beginning travelling across Ukraine from Maidan to Crimea. Before coming to Kyiv in 2011, Sergio Cantone lived and worked in Brussels as the European Affairs correspondent of euronews. He had the opportunity to observe the policy making process of the EU with a lot of interest and visited many EU countries with passion. Sergio also met and interviewed many prominent political and opinion leaders. From Brussels to Kyiv, he got the full picture of the European continent from West to East. Fond of history, he has a law degree and one master in international relations. Sergio was born in Milan in 1964.
