Taras Kytsmey

Taras Kytsmey is an entrepreneur, scientist, economist, co-founder, and member of the Board of Directors of SoftServe, Honored Economist of Ukraine, UCU Senator, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Ivan Franko Lviv National University, and member of the Board of Directors of the European Business Association. In 2018, he was awarded the Order of the Lion for the development of the IT industry of Ukraine and Lviv for his contributions to the development of the IT industry of Ukraine and Lviv. He is listed among the top 100 wealthiest Ukrainians according to Forbes and NV.

Taras Kytsmey is a notable public figure and philanthropist. He focuses his efforts on the comprehensive development of the IT community in Ukraine by presenting the industry on international platforms and working with state and local authorities and professional and business communities. He was elected President of the IT Association of Ukraine in 2011 and 2016 and in 2020 headed it again.

Additionally, Taras advocates the development of IT education in Ukraine and provides support to talented young people, participates in the development of educational programs by working directly with schoolchildren and students as well as helping to reconstruct or equip computer classrooms for educational institutions. 

Taras has been engaged in support of important cultural, sports and other important social initiatives.
