Viktor Halasiuk – Ukrainian economist, President of the Ukrainian Association for the Club of Rome, Associate Fellow at the World Academy of Art & Science (WAAS), Ph.D., D.Sc.

Dr. Halasiuk is a Founder of the Young Scientists Conference (YSC) and a Board Member at the Kyiv International Economic Forum (KIEF).

Since 2019 Dr. Halasiuk has been studying at Harvard Business School (Executive Education, PLD).

From 2014 to 2019 he served as a Member of the Parliament of Ukraine, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship, Co-Chair of the U.S. Caucus at the Parliament of Ukraine and Deputy Chairman of the Ukrainian Part of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee.

Dr. Halasiuk is a strong proponent of industrial and innovation development. Ranked #2 among all Ukrainian MPs by lawmaking productivity in 2014-2019. Drafted and passed in the parliament over 20 bills, mainly focusing on improving investment climate in Ukraine, SME support, industrial development and export promotion.

Viktor Halasiuk has vast experience in the private sector from 1998 till 2014, moving up from mid-management roles in consulting business to senior positions in investment business and chairing the Ukrainian Association for Innovation Development (UAID).

Dr. Halasiuk holds Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Audit (2002), Master’s degree in Corporate Economics (2003), Ph.D. in Economics (2006) from Dnipro Polytechnic University and D.Sc. in Economics (2020) from National Academy of Management.

Dr. Halasiuk is a Professor at the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (Institute for Applied System Analysis) and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He has developed and is teaching “Economic Engineering” course. Studied and trained in the U.S., UK and Japan.
