Currently Yevgen serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as the commander-in-chief of a special center for Electronic Warfare. He joined the Armed Forces at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of russia to Ukraine. He directly participated in operations of liberation of Kherson and defense of Eastern Ukraine.

He has been awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III class, the Cross of Courage, the Steel Cross, as well as other honors from the Minister of Defense and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Prior to this, he led Ukrzaliznytsia in 2017-2020 and served as the First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. Before entering the public sector, he was a partner at the law firm Asters.
