Giovanni Salvetti is the head of Rothschild & Co. for the CIS Region and he has been working with the firm for the last 20 years, focusing on emerging economies, advising Governments and private clients. Giovanni has been involved in the most relevant transactions in Ukraine since 2007, advising on investments in Ukraine in excess of 20 billion usd including M&A investments, bonds and loans. 

Among other roles, he has been advising the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine and others SOEs on international debt since several years. He advised on multi-billion complex debt restructurings such as Dtek in 2021, Metinvest, Mriya agro, etc. and on several M&A deals in banking, IT, agri and consumer goods. Giovanni is also an investor in Ukraine in his personal capacity.

Giovanni graduated in business administration at Milan’s Bocconi University and holds a Master in international economy from Rotterdam’s Erasmus University.
