Hannes Schwaderer has been the Director of Energy and the Industrial Sector for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions at Intel GmbH since September 2011. In this position, he is responsible for strategy, development and distribution of solutions based on Intel technologies focusing on the transformation towards the digitalization of the electricity network (smart grid) and industrial automation (industry 4.0).

Hannes Schwaderer holds a degree in business administration and began his career at Intel in 1994 as Retail Marketing Manager. In 1998, he took over the role of EMEA Market Development Manager and, one year later, switched to the position of Marketing Manager for Central Europe. From August 2002 to August 2011, he was Country Manager for Germany and Austria and responsible for all marketing and distribution activities in this region.

Furthermore, Hannes Schwaderer is President of Initiative D21, a member of the Senate of the German Academy of Technical Science "acatech," on the advisory board of CyberMentor, a member of the board of trustees for the Deutsches Museum (Munich) and serves on the Board of Advisors to the Bavarian State Minister of Economy and Energy.
